Aelite Chimney Specialties + Residents of Winnetka = A Win For All

Nick and Julie Wagner founded Aelite Chimney Specialties in 2005 with the goal to provide homeowners with the best chimney service and protect them from fire and poisonous gas hazards. And, we have done so with excellent customer feedback. Here are some of the services we provide:

An Ounce of Prevention…(You Know The Rest)

A yearly inspection and cleaning of the fireplaces, chimneys, wood stoves and venting systems in your home is critical to your safety and health, according to both the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). They both remind homeowners that tragic fires and serious medical issues can be avoided with proper maintenance by a chimney professional. Serious fires and health issues can arise from improperly installed or clogged dryer vents and from dirty or improperly maintained chimneys and heating appliances.

Aelite will provide you with a video scan, a thorough cleaning and inspection, and make any needed repairs to keep you and your family safe.

A Little About Aelite

We are your chimney sweep professionals. We also offer our expertise in helping you choose fireplace inserts, fireplace glass doors and gas logs. We will even install them for you! We have an “A” rating with Angie’s List, a “Zero Complaint” record with the BBB, and all of our technicians are trained and certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). We deliver what we say we’ll do when we say we’ll do it, and thrive on providing excellent customer service.

Life In Winnetka

Spectacular homes, Lake Michigan, close proximity to Chicago, and a strong commitment to education, traditional values, and preservation of its history characterize Winnetka.

The first residents arrived from Vermont in 1836. By 1850, about 100 people lived in Winnetka. The first school was established in 1856. Since the beginning, the importance of education has been backed both financially and philosophically by the community. Today, District 36 is nationally recognized as one of the most regarded school districts for its progressive education and educators who are committed to fostering each student’s development. After completing grades K-8, students go to New Tier Township High School. Famous graduates of New Tier include: Actor Chris O’Donnell, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Jack Steinberger, a former Nazi refugee and winner of the 1988 Nobel Prize for Physics, who donated his Nobel Prize to New Tier.

Parking-So Much Fun!

The Winnetka Park District plays a key role in the lives of residents and visitors in Winnetka. The District operates 27 parks in the area and maintains a busy schedule of events and activities for all ages. Popular events include: Wednesdays In The Woods, the summer concert series at Hubbard Woods Park; Thursday’s free Ice Cream Socials; fun 4th of July Celebrations; various fitness programs for all ages; athletic fields for virtually all sports; swimming pool and lessons; and Park-a-Day, which offers activities for children and the opportunity for parents to visit various parks and socialize. The Day Camps run by the District include everything from baseball and summer Olympic sports to archery, cheerleading, arts and crafts and cooking.

Each of the 27 parks is a four season “must see”, with walking trails, hiking, biking, picnicking and beautiful scenery. Centennial Park is beautifully landscaped, with extensive walking trails and a view from the bluff and is the place for dogs as well as humans to enjoy the park and beach.

Winnetka is also fortunate to have impressive sports facilities at Skokie Playfield:
